The beautiful village of Church Westcote lies just south east of Stow on the Wold. It sits peacefully on the edge of the hilltop which provides the ideal spot to take in the wonderful views over open countryside looking across Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire.

Church Westcote is closely linked with its neighbouring village of Nether Westcote where the award winning Feathered Nest  Country Inn resides.

Dating back to the 13th century, St Mary’s Church sits at the heart of the village (after the village centre was relocated following the disastrous sweep of the Black Death). The church was renovated in the 19th century.

The village hall is also found in the centre of Church Westcote. Converted from an old stone barn, it is used as a convenient meeting point for events in the village. A wide range of shops can be found in the neighbouring towns and villages. Oxford is 25 miles away by car (or also accessible by train from Kingham station).

The nearest primary school is either Bledington Primary School or Stow on the Wold Primary School and for secondary education Church Westcote falls within the catchment area for The Cotswold School – a language and science academy. Located in Bourton on the Water, it was named the The Sunday Times Comprehensive School of the Year 2015-16.
